It is only natural for us as humans to worry, become fearful, or question why when life seems to try to knock us down. However Philippians 4:6 says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything." Tell God what you need, while you continually thank Him for all He has done. When you do this God’s peace will meet you right where you are and you will experience the peace that surpasses all understanding. This peace is greater than the human mind can even begin to understand. The scripture goes on to say that, "His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Be blessed fam!

Prayer Changes Things

I have truly learned that there is no problem on earth that heaven cannot fix. Prayer does change things. As my grandmother use to say, "have a little talk with Jesus." If you are unable to get past some things, need an answer, or if you are hurting I challenge you to call on Jesus. Tonight when you cannot sleep do not count sheep but instead talk to the Shepherd. Prayer does change things!

When a believer gets in the process of reading and meditating on the Word of God daily then the believers life will be guided by God. Are you waiting on God's promises to manifest in your life? Waiting for the vision He has given you to become a reality? It has been said that when God makes a promise to a believer that, "your faith believes it, your hope begins to anticipate it, and your patience quietly awaits it." Today I will like to encourage you to hold on a little while longer for God is not a man that He should lie and your promise will come to pass! Habakkuk 2:3

Encouragement is an amazing thing. It is a must that each and every person learns to sew seeds of encouragement into people's lives. When you sew seeds of encouragement into another persons life you will reap the harvest of encouragement you planted when you need it most. Prayer throughout the day is like your favorite team taking a timeout when needed to get there plays together, their momentum back, or set themselves up for one last play. Pray throughout the day so you know how to make the next play, pray throughout the day to make it through the day, pray throughout the day because GOD is waiting to hear from you. Take a time out and pray! Prayer opens up heaven and all that heaven has waiting for you. Daniel 6:10-12; 16; 22

You need to learn that the only thing you need to be in haste about is your waiting on the Lord. GOD may not come when you want Him but His track record proves that He always comes on time. GOD is not slow to fulfill his promises but you are slow to wait. 2 Peter 3:9

Establish Boundaries

The following is about setting spiritual boundaries and is by Bob Gass
I have set My face like a flint----Isaiah 50:7
When we look to anyone other than God to meet all our needs, we're
setting ourselves up to be disappointed. Relationships work best when
you establish boundaries and a budget up front. Ask, 'Where does this
person belong in my life? How much am I prepared to invest in them?'
Life's too short to be spent straightening out misunderstandings, hurt
feelings and damaged egos. If you're wise you'll avoid any relationship
that drains you and leaves you asking, 'How did I get into this?' When
keeping somebody happy means short-changing the purposes of God in your
life and losing your joy, you've overdrawn the budget. When somebody
needs too many phone calls, dinners, loans, or other forms of attention,
it's time to draw a line. You've only so much time and energy. Good
stewardship demands that you invest your life where there's the greatest
return. When people who are 'too needy' demand more than you have the
ability or the right to give, you've got to do one of two things. First,
renegotiate. Bankrupting yourself to make them feel good might sound
noble, but it's not. Bankrupt people end up with everything from nervous
breakdowns to extramarital affairs because they're overspent. At this
point, prayer, a good counsellor, and tough love may be what's needed.
Second, sometimes you have to walk away! Isaiah writes, '... I have set
my face like a flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed' (Isaiah
50:7. Make up your mind to let no one stand in the way of doing what God has called
you to do. Your first calling is to please the Lord, not others.

Celebrating Other People

I was blessed on last night to celebrate the wonderful Pastor Olivia C.Q. Aiken or as those who know and love her call her, "Pastor O". The program "Blessings in the Storm" truly blessed my soul! I love her something terrible, she is amazing from the inside out! To know her is to love her, her words are profound but her actions are even more profound. I pray that the windows of heaven continue to open up and pour blessings into her life. Remember it is far better to be celebrated than tolerated! This woman of God is truly celebrated by the lives she is a part of. I urge you that if you do not have a church home and live in the Kansas City area to stop by Memorial Missionary Baptist Church and hear an awesome word from the Lord. Bishop and Pastor Aiken are truly one of a kind people and you can fill the spirit in that place! Be blessed all and remember live a life where people celebrate who you are because they can see the GOD in you!

Positive Words Are Building Blocks
on Sunday, April 11, 2010

The words you choose to speak has an affect on others. Positive words encourage and build people up while negative words tear down, destroy and harm them. When you speak you make a conscious choice on whether the words you speak are positive or negative. If you take nothing else away take away that speaking positively requires a deliberate decision, and it is always easier to take the low road and speak negatively. Therefore, please do what God would have you to do and strive to speak both positive and encouraging words to those you interact with on the daily basis.
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen" Ephesians 4:29.
"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt..." Colossians 4:6

There Is A Time For Everything

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1
Just as mother nature has the seasons of winter, spring, summer, and fall there are seasons we must each go through in our lives. Each season will teach us a new experience and give us time to grow, learn, and mature. Learn to enjoy the season that you are in, do not desire to have what someone else has, live the way they live, and do the things they do. Know that the same God that provided it for them can and will provide it for you in your due season. BUT, let me give you a warning you better be ready for what you pray for and ask for. With larger success, bigger blessings, and more money comes larger demons, bigger trials, and more headaches. Because "for unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required" Luke 12:48
Remember everything under the sun has a time, enjoy and learn from whatever season you are in. God has given each of us an appointed cycle of seasons..just as you cannot rush the seasons of mother nature do not rush the seasons of your life. Allow the flower that God has made in you to fully blossom so that you can fufill the divine purpose He has for your life.

Just as your car needs fuel and your body needs food, your spirit needs to be fed as well. I tell my husband all the time that I can feel when my spiritual tank is running close to empty. There is nothing like a good word, a song that touches your soul, and most importantly some one on one time with God. I pray that this blog is able to do just that for people, to help them get some spiritual food in their spiritual tanks. I pray that people will be touched and filled spiritually and pass on the word to visit my blog, a place where spiritual food is being served....
My spiritual thought for the day....
The way you choose to live your life is dependant on your mindset not your circumstances. If you cannot learn to rejoice in the storms in your life than you will never truly know how to appreciate the rainbow. If there is one thing I can tell you from living is that God will never leave you nor forsake you. If you want answers learn to be still and listen to God. I dare you today to confess that you have not always been content in whatever state that God has had you but from this day forward you will be; after all confessions bring blessings!
